Let's Scrap 5-15-13

Great sketch this week and it can be used for a card or a layout!  I created a card this week and I used papers from the Glitz Design Color My happy 8x8 paper pad!  I love this collection so much and I created a sweet and simple card!

Very simple but still a very sweet card!  It reminds me so much of my husband I just had to use this little cut apart card from the paper pad as my card sentiment!  This week our sponsor is Paper Crafting World and here is the prize they are giving away to one lucky winner..

Embellish Me Happy May Challenge

Hello Everyone!  Happy Tuesday and it is time for the May Challenge from Embellish Me Happy!  This month our challenge is Using Circles and Texture!  So get out all your circular embellishments, circle punches and dies and lets get creating!!  Here are a few other things to go along with this months challenge to add to your projects!

1.  Using Texture! There are so many ways to use texture other than using cardstock that is textured.  Using glitter, paints, crumbled paper, tearing paper, feathers, twine, stitching, flocking, you name it!
2.  In light of Mother's Day I know you all will have plenty of photo's to scrap so make this your focus for this challenge. Anything that will represent this day.
3. Use the colors red and Pink or Just Red or just Pink but you must use one of the two colors!
4.  Have fun!

My name is Tarynne Wise and I live in sunny Southern California. I started scrapbooking 10+ years ago but when a medical problem kept me from sitting up for long periods of time, I went to cards. This year is my first year doing Project Life and I'm obsessed with it! My album is full of my nieces, my family, my dog Scruffy and the best boyfriend ever made, Joey.

Here is the layout I created for this months Embellish Me Happy challenge

Happy Mother's Day!  Today I am here as Guest Designer for Red Carpet Studio!  Red Carpet Studio is a movie-inspired challenge blog featuring alternating card and layout challenges!  Inspired by the movie "Baby Mama" this weeks challenge is to create a baby-themed card!

Let's Scrap 5-8-13

Hello!  I am a little late posting my layout this week for Let's Scrap!  I have been so busy this week and things are just keep piling up on me!  I had fun creating this layout using Let's Scrap sketch 5-8-13.

I choose to do a one page layout and used papers from the Romance Collection from Prima!!  The papers in this collection are just gorgeous!  I scrapped two of my favorite photos of myself and Mike and printed them in black and white. 

This is a little different from my normal bright layouts but I like the look and feel of how it all came out!  I plan on having Mike do some hand journaling on the other journal card but I figured I would keep that part private;)  I hope you all enjoy my layout and I hope you have had a chance to check us out and play along with us over at Let's Scrap!

Scraputante's Round Robin Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and got a chance to celebrate National Scrapbooking day doing what we all love to do!!  Today I have a layout to share with you that I created for Scraputante's Round Robin Challenge!  This month there are 3 groups of 4 very talented ladies.  The rules are as follows

1. Layouts should be 12x12 paper layouts
2. You will draw inspiration or "scraplift" from the person who is assigned the week before you in your Group. Week 1 participants can post any layout!
3. You must lift at least 3 elements from the previous persons layout and list what 3 items you lifted. Some examples are: colors, number of photos, embellishments, placement of photos, title placement, twine, distressing, inking, etc..if you have questions dont be afraid to ask I am more than willing to answer.
4. Post your layout in the group on your Assigned Monday by 8 pm EST (even though some of our players get impatient LOL)
5. HAVE FUN!!


Sounds fun right!?  Well week 1 ladies get to create anything they want!   They start it out for us and then we start lifting from there!  It is so fun to see how every layout turns out and to see the elements that are lifted from the previous week!  Here is the layout posted for week 1 that I lifted my inspiration from

Fabulous right!!??  Tons of amazing elements to lift from this great layout from Jean!  I am in week 2 so today is my day to share my layout with everyone..

I lifted the word Celebrate,  brads, and vellum and I went along with the birthday theme of Jeans layout.  The pictures I used are from my birthday and how I spent my day and night!  Spending the day with my babies and  I spent my night with my best friend!  We had a great dinner, drinks and lots of dancing!   I am really looking forward to week 3 and what they will left from my layout!!  I hope you enjoyed my layout today please leave some bloggy love below and thanks for stopping today!

Scrap Your Stash Layout Share

I finally have my scrap your stash layout to share with you!  I created this layout with specific pictures in my head and completed the layout before printing the photos.  I used a sketch from The Paper Bakery Sketch Challenge .  Well after it was completed and I went to look for the photos on my computer I could not find them!  So I had to go through all the computers and finally last night I found the photos on our old laptop!  Of coarse our old computer is slower than a snail so I had to go  through and clean it up, restart it, and was then able to print my photos and here is my finished product!

Everything I used in this layout was found in my stash of stuff!  I found a mixture of goodies that all went well together and I went with darker colors because I knew I would be scrapping an old photo from my son's pre-school graduation.  I hope you enjoyed my scrap your stash layout and I hope you will share what you have created with your stash of goodies on my Facebook page for your chance to win some goodies from me!  I have had one layout shared on my page so far and it is an amazing scrap your stash layout make sure to check it out I will choose a winner in a couple weeks!  There is still one day left to enter your layout at The Paper Bakery!  Here is a look at the sketch and thanks for stopping today!

Let's Scrap

How is everyone doing today!?  Today I am here with another sketch from Let's Scrap.  I love this sketch and thought it would be great to use what I had left over from my Jillibean Placemat! 

I used some older fall photos of my daughter playing in the leaves.  The paper collection I used is from Close To My Heart and one of my favorites called Dotty for You.  I created a one page layout (one day I will create a two page layout I promise) for this weeks sketch and this is what I came up with..
