Retrosketches #125

Hey Everyone!  I am back with a new sketch and card from Retrosketches!  This sketch is fabulous and so many possibilities!  Here is a look at the sketch and my card!

I am loving the white on white look right now so that is what I went for with this card!  I used a white card base and used two stamp sets.  To create the rays I used the stamp set Patterned Pennants from Close to my Heart and heat embossed in white embossing powder.  The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set called We Go Together and is stamped out in Close to my Heart Slate ink.

I hope you will join us this week and link up your card using this sketch!  A little shout out to Scrappin Madge for linking up using last weeks sketch!!  Thanks for playing along Madge!  Enjoy your day everyone!

Clique Kits July Blog Share

Hey Everyone!  Welcome to the Clique Kits July Blog Share featuring products using the July 2014 kit A Midsummer Nights Dream.  This months kit features Echo Parks Capture Life collection designed by the fabulous Allison Kreft!  You should have made your way here from Jody's blog but in case you did not please CLICK HERE to start the blog share from the beginning!  I have a few projects to share with you today so lets get stated!

First up I have two layouts to share and the first one is of my youngest Eli James!  His favorite movie was on and as you can see in the photo he was very much into it!  We were having a lazy movie day so I had to capture his little self on the couch!
Earlier this month I shared a layout using a sketch from Life.Paper.Scrapbook and I wanted to create a layout with the 2 photos I did not use in that layout.  I did not want to add to many embellishment to this layout so the focus would mainly be on the photos!
For my last projects I have 3 cards to share using the last bits and pieces of this kit!

Thanks for stopping today and I hope you enjoyed my projects this month!  Your next stop is the one and only Shayne!  Don't forget to comment along the way for your chance to win this months giveaway!  For an extra entry sign up for the Clique Kits newsletter and share the hop on Facebook!  Please leave a separate comment for each entry!  Here is the complete line-up in case you get lost along the way!

Life.Paper.Scrapbook Sketch and My Clique Kit

Hello Everyone!  I wanted to drop in quick and share the layout I created for my post on Clique Kits this past Thursday!  I used the current sketch challenge over at Life.Paper.Scrapbook.

I used the July 2014 Clique Kit to create my layout along with the Pinkfresh Stuido exclusive kit and a few July add-ons from the Clique Kits store.!  I love the Bokeh Teal paper from Allison Kreft's Capture Life collection!  I love how it looks with the pink pattern paper and pink embellishments.  The photos I used are of my husband Michael and I and were taking by my high school friend who is an amazing photographer Anna Wight.  We were so blessed to have her take our family photos for us.

The July Clique Kit is available for purchase in the Clique Kits shop along with the Echo Park view finder die and Studio Calico enamel dots I used in my layout!  I hope you enjoyed my layout using this sketch!  Head on over to Clique Kits to view some close up photos and read my blog post HERE.

I used the super cute tea cup that came in the July kit and added one of the Tim Holtz rub-ons that was included in the June 2014 Nesting Components kit.  The die cut piece behind the cup was cut from the Marion Smith Designs 6x6 paper pad that is also included in the July kit.  The papers in this collection are absolutely beautiful!  Stay tuned to the Paper Wings Productions blog where I will be sharing the inside pages later this month!

Paper Wings Productions July Challenge

It is time for the July challenge over at Paper Wings Productions!  This month is going to be even more exciting because we have the amazing design team from Creative Embellishments joining in on the fun and that means double the chance to win for you!  This months challenge is to emboss!  You can heat emboss, dry emboss or use both on your project!  This months randomly chosen winner will receive a $20.00 gift certificate to the Paper Wings Productions shop and we will also choose one person who links up as our featured fan!  This person's project will be posted on the PWP facebook page and Instagram and will also receive a special discount code the shop.
For my project I used the current sketch from Retro Sketches for some inspiration and A Charmed Life paper collection from Simple Stories along with my Paper Wings Productions stamps.
The two Paper Wings Productions stamps I used are Sunburst Pattern and the Spring stamp set.  I stamped the Sunburst onto some white cardstock and used one of the Chalk Talk Framlits from Stampin Up to cut it out.  I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it.  The wood veneer heart is from Creative Embellishments and comes in a pack of 28!  I love it and this pack is currently on sale!

I love all the yellow in this card and it just goes perfect with the sentiment from Paper Wings Productions!  Head on over to the Paper Wings Productions blog to see what the rest of the design team has created and also make your way over to Creative Embellishments!

4th Tuesday: Double page layout based on the sketch
5th Tuesday: Anything goes

Today I am sharing a layout I created using the July 2014 Clique Kit and a single page sketch from Stick it Down.

I had so much fun with this sketch and my Clique Kit.  This months kit features papers from Allison Kreft's Capture Life line and I love the colors!  I used a photo of my oldest son that I took while we were at the driving range!  There is always time for a quick photo shoot while on the driving range, right?

I will be adding some journaling onto the top left journaling card.  I did use some Studio Calico wood grain enamel dots that are an add on to the July Clique Kit and I love them!!  I may need to get another pack because I know they are going to go fast!  I hope you will join us and link up your projects using this sketch!  Please head on over to the Stick it Down blog to see what the rest of the design team has created!  Thanks so much for stopping today!
