May Housecalls Kit-Flea Market

Hello!!  I received my Heartstring Designs May Housecalls Kit the other day and I could not wait to tear into it and start creating!  Today I would like to share one of the layouts I created using this kit!  I scrapped one of my favorite pictures of Michael and I!  I used everything from the kit to create this layout except some washi tape and a stamp!  Here is my layout....

I am so in love with this months Housecalls Kit!  This kit is jam packed full of all kinds of amazing product!  I love the vintage look to this kit and love the pack of Jinger Adams cards that are included in this months kit!  Make sure to check back tomorrow to see another layout created with this fabulous kit!!!  Here is a look at this months Heartstring Designs May Kit!

White Cardstock Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!!!!  We have had some amazing challenges and fun games this month over at Let's Scrap!  Today I am here to share with you the challenge I posted in the Let's Scrap forum for NSD! My challenge is to create a layout using only WHITE cardstock so put the colored and patterned cardstock away for this cause in order to add color and patterns you must create them yourself using inks, stamps, mists, sprays, paint, gelatos, washi, ribbon, ect. as long as you start with a piece of WHITE cardstock! Its time to get a little messy ladies and create something fabulous!! My main rule is to just start with WHITE cardstock! Here are a few other things to remember

• Use any of the Let’s Scrap Sketches.
• This challenge cannot be combined with the weekly main page sketch, the BAM (Book about Me) challenges or the Scrap our Stash challenge.
• The layout must be something new you scrapped for this challenge not something that you have previously made.
• For this challenge please upload your page photo to the gallery by 5-31-13, 11:59pm (using the main page clock time).
• Be sure to tag your layout/card correctly. For my challenge, please tag as : NSD13#17 (all one word), followed by a comma, a space, and the sketch number you used. My tag will read: NSD13#9, 8-20-09

Here is my layout

I started with a WHITE 12x12 and used my roller arrow stamp to add some pattern and then stitched all the way around my layout with black thread. I took two different sized pieces of WHITE cardstock to use as my photo mats and covered one with Washi Tape and the other one i used distress ink and water to color my paper. For my journaling strip I started with WHITE cardstock and covered it in black ink and them added lines with my chalkboard marker from Close To My Heart. After I had everything layed out I added some Color Shine splats around the layout!  I sure hope you can join in on my challenge over at Let's Scrap!  Thanks so much for stopping today and I hope you all have a fabulous day!!

Let's Scrap 5-15-13

Great sketch this week and it can be used for a card or a layout!  I created a card this week and I used papers from the Glitz Design Color My happy 8x8 paper pad!  I love this collection so much and I created a sweet and simple card!

Very simple but still a very sweet card!  It reminds me so much of my husband I just had to use this little cut apart card from the paper pad as my card sentiment!  This week our sponsor is Paper Crafting World and here is the prize they are giving away to one lucky winner..

Embellish Me Happy May Challenge

Hello Everyone!  Happy Tuesday and it is time for the May Challenge from Embellish Me Happy!  This month our challenge is Using Circles and Texture!  So get out all your circular embellishments, circle punches and dies and lets get creating!!  Here are a few other things to go along with this months challenge to add to your projects!

1.  Using Texture! There are so many ways to use texture other than using cardstock that is textured.  Using glitter, paints, crumbled paper, tearing paper, feathers, twine, stitching, flocking, you name it!
2.  In light of Mother's Day I know you all will have plenty of photo's to scrap so make this your focus for this challenge. Anything that will represent this day.
3. Use the colors red and Pink or Just Red or just Pink but you must use one of the two colors!
4.  Have fun!

My name is Tarynne Wise and I live in sunny Southern California. I started scrapbooking 10+ years ago but when a medical problem kept me from sitting up for long periods of time, I went to cards. Here is the layout I created for this months Embellish Me Happy challenge

Let's Scrap 5-8-13

Hello!  I am a little late posting my layout this week for Let's Scrap!  I have been so busy this week and things are just keep piling up on me!  I had fun creating this layout using Let's Scrap sketch 5-8-13.

I choose to do a one page layout and used papers from the Romance Collection from Prima!!  The papers in this collection are just gorgeous!  I scrapped two of my favorite photos of myself and Mike and printed them in black and white. 

This is a little different from my normal bright layouts but I like the look and feel of how it all came out!  I plan on having Mike do some hand journaling on the other journal card but I figured I would keep that part private;)  I hope you all enjoy my layout and I hope you have had a chance to check us out and play along with us over at Let's Scrap!

Scraputante's Round Robin Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and got a chance to celebrate National Scrapbooking day doing what we all love to do!!  Today I have a layout to share with you that I created for Scraputante's Round Robin Challenge!  This month there are 3 groups of 4 very talented ladies.  The rules are as follows

1. Layouts should be 12x12 paper layouts
2. You will draw inspiration or "scraplift" from the person who is assigned the week before you in your Group. Week 1 participants can post any layout!
3. You must lift at least 3 elements from the previous persons layout and list what 3 items you lifted. Some examples are: colors, number of photos, embellishments, placement of photos, title placement, twine, distressing, inking, etc..if you have questions dont be afraid to ask I am more than willing to answer.
4. Post your layout in the group on your Assigned Monday by 8 pm EST (even though some of our players get impatient LOL)
5. HAVE FUN!!


Sounds fun right!?  Well week 1 ladies get to create anything they want!   They start it out for us and then we start lifting from there!  It is so fun to see how every layout turns out and to see the elements that are lifted from the previous week!  Here is the layout posted for week 1 that I lifted my inspiration from

Fabulous right!!??  Tons of amazing elements to lift from this great layout from Jean!  I am in week 2 so today is my day to share my layout with everyone..

I lifted the word Celebrate,  brads, and vellum and I went along with the birthday theme of Jeans layout.  The pictures I used are from my birthday and how I spent my day and night!  Spending the day with my babies and  I spent my night with my best friend!  We had a great dinner, drinks and lots of dancing!   I am really looking forward to week 3 and what they will left from my layout!!  I hope you enjoyed my layout today please leave some bloggy love below and thanks for stopping today!
