The Pep Rally-Clique Kits April Blog Share

Welcome to the Clique Kits May Blog Share!  You should have arrived from Jody's blog if you are just stopping for a visit please head on over to the Clique Kits blog to start from the beginning.  I am so excited for this months blog share since we have some of The Clique (subscribers) joining us this month and of coarse our two fabulous Students of the  Month Brooke Peterman and Danielle de Konink.

I am sharing 3 layouts I created with the April 2014 kit Debutante!  Family is my number one always so it is not to much of a shocker that they are always the ones in my layouts 99% of the time!  My first layout is of one of my younger brothers and my son Gavin playing a game on my brothers phone.  It was Gavin's 2nd birthday and I had to get this shot before my brother noticed I had the camera out again!  He does not like his picture taken at all!!  I was successful and love how the photo came out!

My next layout is another one of my daughter in her tutu.  I shared a layout earlier this month with some similar photos here.

I absolutely love this floral print with little bits of water coloring!  I was not sure how I was going to use such a busy background but I kept it simple and I loved how it turned out!  I did use the new Amy Tangerine stamps from this collection and one of her embroidery stencils to add some stitching!  For my last layout today I used another one of my favorite photos of my husband, Gavin and I.

This stripe background paper is one of my favorites from the Plus One collection and I think I need to have at least 5 of these to hoard I mean use with some future layouts!  I also used the new Amy Tangerine embossing folder on a piece of vellum as a laying piece.  We now have these embossing folders available in the Clique Kits April School Store.  We only have a limited supply so get them while you can cause when they are gone they are GONE!  I hope you enjoyed my layouts today and are enjoying the share so far!   It is now time to send you over to Lacey!  Remember to leave comments along the way and follow the Clique Kits blog by email for your chance to win some exclusive Debutante journal cards and the Debutante paper collection!

Clique Kits-Simple Stories Blog Share

Hello and welcome to the Clique Kits Blog Share featuring Simple Stories!  If you have arrived from Jody's blog then you are in the right place!  To start from the beginning please Click Here.  We are all huge fans of Simple Stories and my love for them started about 4 years ago when I became a Memory Works consultant.  I was very sad to see Memory Works go but I am so blessed to have met some amazing women while I was a Memory Works consultant.  Without Memory Works I would have never been introduced to Gia, Jody, and Lacey!  We have started this new journey together and we are all so excited to have you join us!  Today I am sharing projects using the Simple Stories Simple Set, Hey Mom!  This collection has some great mom and Mother' Day images but I wanted to show you that you can take a line like this and use it to document a variety of other things!  I love the pretty colors in this collection and the pattern papers are super cute and fun!  The floral prints are beautiful and there are some great pieces to use a neutral.  My first project is a couple pages in my snap album!  I love the Simple Stories lines to create quick and simple layouts without a whole lot of work!  The cut apart sheets make it easy to complete pocket pages and the stickers that come in the simple sets are the perfect Embellishments to give your pages a little something extra!  Here is a look at my completed pages using Hey Mom!

Next up I have two layouts to share with you.  The first one is documenting a photo of my daughter Alyssa and I.  I absolutely love this photo of Alyssa and I taken by an old friend of mine Anna Wight!!  My daughter is hilarious and I do not know what I would do without her!  She is definitely a mini me for sure and I look forward to watch her grow up (just not to fast)!

And the second layout I created in about 25 minutes!  I just pulled out a white piece of 12x12 cardstock as my base and pulled out the pieces of the Hey Mom collection that were all cut up and started piling them on!  The photo is of one of my best friends and I at my sons 8th grade graduation party.  Whenever the two of us are together we have to take at least one photo together!  I love how it turned out and it came together so quick!

Thanks so much for stopping today!  I hope you enjoyed my layouts and were inspired today!  If you would like to pick up the Simple Stories Hey Mom collection you can head on over to the Clique Kits Shop where you will find this and other fabulous Simple Stories products!  Your next stop is Lacey and she has some amazing projects to share!  Have a great day and do not forget to stop back at the Clique Kits blog and let us know you completed the hop for your chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate to the Clique Kits Store.

For this months blog hop project I wanted to create a mini album and using turquoise or shades of, was very easy for me since it is one of my favorites!  Just about everything in my album can be found in the Paper Wings Productions shop.  I used up papers from a few of the Nesting Components Kits along with embellishments.  I either used acrylic paints, mists or inks to add hints of turquoise to all my pages and tags.  I figured since our April Challenge theme is "Get Inky" I might as well incorporate that into my blog hop project.  All the supplies and stamps I used will be linked below and if you have any questions about a certain stamp (because I used a ton) please leave me comment below.  Here is a look at my mini album capturing sweet moments so far in 2014!

PWP April Challenge

A new month means a new challenge over at Paper Wings Productions.  This month is all about getting inky and having fun.  So pull out some sprays, inks and paints and have some fun!  You can create any type of project and enter their challenge up to 3 times for your chance to win a $20.00 gift certificate to the Paper Wings Productions shop!

I received the Hey Cupcake stamp set a few weeks ago from Paper Wings Productions and I have been itching to use it!  Here is a look at the card I created for this challenge!

I used my Lindy's Stamp Gang mist on a piece of thick cardstock and then stamped out the cupcake image.  I then cut the frosting part of the cupcake out and stamped the image 2 more times.  Once on white cardstock and then again on some pattern paper for the wrapper of the cupcake!  I hope you will join us this month and get a little inky!  Head on over to the Paper Wings Productions blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for this challenge!
