Boo to You

I have managed to get in a few more last minute Halloween projects and today I want to share a treat/gift card holder I created for  CAS-ual Fridays-CFC118
This weeks challenge is to create a CAS gift or treat bag that includes a tag!  I used Retro Sketch 87 to create my tag that I adhered to the treat holder.  I flipped the sketch a little bit by turning it in a different direction and also adding the banner cut.  I used up some scrap pieces of paper that were on my desk from previous projects and the stamp sets I used are from Paper Wings Productions and are called  Fall Add Ons and Little Halloween

I love the ghost images in the Fall Add Ons stamp set!  I stamped them out onto white cardstock in VersaFine ink and then cut them out with my scissors.  I then popped them up on some foam squares and added some black and white twine that I tied in a bow!  Very quick and simple and will be a very cute treat holder for the kids to give their teachers! Thanks so much for stopping today!  I hope you enjoyed my CAS treat/gift card holder and I hope you enjoy your day.

Lawnscaping Challenge

I am back to share with you a card I created for another Lawnscaping Challenge and this one was a lot of fun!  This week their challenge is a Pinterest Inspired Challenge!  Now I know we all love to pin so find one that inspires you and create something fun!  Here is a look at the PIN that inspired my card and you can check out more details about this card HERE!

I was so inspired by the colors of the card and I love how it is all put together!  I pulled the black, pink and white colors from this card and also the way the sentiment is layered and went to work creating my Pinterest inspired card.  I used two stamp sets to create my card.  One is from Simon Says Stamp and is called Life Is A Journey and the sentiment is from the Paper Wings Productions stamp set Sayings & Sentiments.  I also used some beautiful Iridescent White Sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps Shop and to finish it off I of coarse had to add some black enamel dots and some left over black sheer ribbon from my Paper Wings Productions October Nesting Components Kit.

Now it is your turn to go through those Pinterest boards and find one that inspires you to create something fabulous!

Mojo Monday!

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all!  I have been so pleased lately with the amazing paper crafts I have found at Target!  A couple weeks ago I picked up this great American Crafts 6x6 paper pad that is filled with hot pinks, greens, black and white, gold and some kraft!  The patterns are very trendy and the colors really pop!  I could not wait to use it and today I finally cut into it!  I found a great sketch over at Mojo Monday and I went with the square card!

I absolutely love this pink triangle pattern!  I just had to use it with this card and I love how it looks with the black card base and the black enamel dots!  Enamel dots have got to be one of my favorite things to embellish with lately!  I just love the look of them and that they come in so many different colors!  What is your favorite type of embellishment to use on cards?  I would love to hear what embellishment you love to add to finish off your cards!  Thanks so much for stopping by today I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day!

RCS#56-Hocus Pocus

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far.  Today I am here to share a mini album I created for this weeks Red Carpet Studio challenge.  This week Robin is hosting the challenge and she chose to create a challenge inspired by the movie Hocus Pocus which is so fitting with it being so close to Halloween!  The challenge is to create a Halloween project.  You can choose any project you would like as long as it has a Halloween theme to it.
Our sponsor this week is Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons and one lucky, randomly chosen winner will receive a $15 gift certificate.  Don't forget, the team will also be choosing their 3 favorite projects to be featured in our "Spotlight!"
I thought this would be the perfect time to get out my Paper Wings Productions October Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit and have some fun!  I created a great mini album with some of the great products from this kit and the following PWP stamp sets, Halloween Mix It Up, Witchy Halloween, and Little Halloween.  Here is a look at my mini album

I love all the vintage journal pages that came in the October Nesting Components kit from Paper Wings Productions!  This kit has sold out but you can still get the great Tim Holtz Woven Cover I used here to create my mini.  I used the ribbon that also came in this kit to create tabs for some of my pages and added great stamped Halloween images all over my album.  I had so much fun with this kit and my PWP products!  Make sure you check out the PWP shop HERE to get your hands on some of these great products!  Thanks so much for stopping today and I hope you will join us over at Red Carpet Studio and link up your Halloween projects!  I can not wait to see what you all create!  Have a great day!

Trick or Treat

Halloween is fast approaching and I have been whipping out Halloween cards and projects left and right!  I have been using up a great chunk of my Halloween paper stash and that makes me very happy!  This year I did not purchase any new Halloween paper and I have been trying very hard to use up what I already have!  So far so good!  Today I am using sketch #6 from Seize The Sketch and going along with the "Trick Or Treat" challenge hosted by The Pink Elephant

The papers I used in my card are from an older Halloween collection from Pink Paislee called Hocus Pocus.  I love that this collection had purple in it so of coarse when it was released I had to purchase it in a 6x6 paper pad and the 12x12 collection!  I also used two different stamps and one is from the dollar bins at Michael's and is this adorable owl image and the sentiment is from the Paper Wings Productions shop and the set is called Little Halloween!

I stamped the owl out in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him in with my Close to My Heart alcohol  markers and used a couple purple Copics for the cape.  I added some Stickles to his treats that he is carrying in his pumpkin and then also added a twine bow and a button!  I hope you enjoyed my card today!  Do you all create a lot of Halloween projects this time of year?  I would love to hear what you have been busy creating these last few weeks!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you all enjoy you day!

Maggie Holmes Flea Market Blog Share

"Make new friends, but keep the old
One is silver and the other gold..."

I am so thrilled you have joined myself, Jody and Gia as we share our projects featuring Maggie Holmes Flea Market.  First I would like to take a little time to thank my crafty friend Gia for sending myself and Jody some amazing pieces from this collection to work with!  If you have stopped here first please head on over to Gia's Blog and start at the beginning of the blog share!  We are doing this blog share to celebrate our friendship and to inspire and encourage others!  I am so thankful to have met these two wonderful ladies through my love of crafting and blogging and even though we have never met in person I feel we have an amazing connection and our always here for each for support and encouragement!  So with all that being said it is time to share with you a couple of the projects I created with my share of this collection.  First up I have a very sweet 4x6 mini album filled with photos and journaling of our girl Ms. Alyssa.  She is a bit of a tomboy but with 4 brothers how could she not be!  She does love a good lip gloss and a great piece of jewelry and we must never forget the nail polish!  Here is a look at my mini album using Maggie Holmes Flea Market ...

I love all the great colors in this collection and the touches of gold in the embellishments is perfect!  I did use some Thickers from my stash in my mini as well and a couple pieces of scrap paper that went well with this collection.

The gold doilies are from Jody's Etsy Store SpiegelMom Scraps Shop and they go fabulous with this collection.  She has many different products in her shop so make sure to stop by after the blog share and check it out!

This page of Alyssa on the skateboard with her painted toes and flip flops is one of my favorites and shows just how much of a girly girl tomboy my little girl is!  The mini tag tucked behind the photo and the May Arts String is also from SpiegelMom Scraps Shop!

I had so much fun with this collections and could not stop at just a mini I had to create a fun and girly card as well and I used Retro Sketch #86.

I used a stamp set from Paper Wings Productions called Sayings & Sentiments and I also stamped the inside of the card with a sentiment from the same stamp set!  I love my Paper Wings Productions stamps and I just can not seem to finish a project without adding at least one of their stamps!  I hope you enjoyed my projects as well as the rest of the projects in this 1st ever blog share!

Memory Works October Challenge

It totally snowed today in Illinois!  Can you believe it is fall and it is snowing here!  Well the good thing is that the snow did not stick.  It did look very pretty but I am not ready for the chilly temperatures!  Today I am here to share with you the layout I created for the Memory Works Studio October Challenge.  This month our challenge is a sketch challenge with a twist.  We were to use the sketch provided with a Fall Theme.  I used my October Memory Works Express Kit to create my layout and some photos of 4 of our babies picking pumpkins from a couple years ago that never made it into a layout.  Here is a look at the sketch that was provided for this months challenge.

It is a great sketch and I could not wait to get started with it!  I pulled out my October Kit which is filled with great Halloween papers from Teresa Collins and My Minds Eye and a great variety of embellishments!  Here is a look at my completed layout.

I love the polka dot paper in this collection from Teresa Collins and I did have a hard time using it because the other side is just as cute!  Do you have trouble deciding which side to use?  Sometimes it is not problem for me at all but with this collection I love each side so much!!  If you are interested in becoming a subscriber to the Memory Works Kit please email me at medga113@hotmail.com with MW EXPRESS in the subject line.  Thanks so much for stopping today and I hope you all have a great day/night!

Lawnscaping Challenge #67

I am back today with another card for the Lawnscaping Challenge #67 using Retro Sketch #85  I received my Simon Says Stamp Card Kit a couple weeks ago and I have been itching to dig into it!  The papers in the kit are from Lawn Fawn's Into The Woods Collection and they are super cute!  I knew I wanted to cut apart some of the cute critters and create a little scene with the different patterned papers!  Here is a look at the card I created.

I love the colors and patterns in this paper collection and the adorable critters!  There is still some time left to link up to these challenges so I hope that you will join me and link up!  Have a great day!

Tutorial Tuesday

Have you ever heat embossed?  Well I know how much I love it so today up on the paper wings productions blog I have a video tutorial sharing how I heat emboss on chipboard and a couple tags.  It is a great technique and adds so much to a project!  Here are a couple shots of my finished tag.

I used the Circle Background Stamp from the Paper Wings Productions Shop for my background and the beautiful Chipboard Butterfly is also from the PWP shop!  The sentiment is from the Brave Girls Cling Stamp Set also from PWP!  If you still have not been to our online shop you definitely need to check it out!  There is a variety of amazing products to choose from like stamps, ink, sprays, embossing powders, chipboard, stamps and kits!  You will not be disappointed!  Make sure you head on over to the Paper Wings  Productions Blog HERE to watch my video tutorial!  Thanks so much for stopping today and I hope you all have a fabulous day!!
