The First Cut

Hello!!  Wow it has been a long time since I have posted to my blog!  I really miss it!  My life has been crazy busy over the last few months.  I wanted to pop in quick and share a layout I created with the August 2014 Clique Kit!  This kit features the Citrus Bliss collection from Pink Paislee and is filled with yummy embellishments!  I also picked up a few extra add ons from the Clique Kits shop!

My layout came together pretty quickly after making the dreadful first cut!  I always have the hardest time cutting into the beautiful paper!  After trying to decide what papers I wanted to use I just decided to cut most of them into layering pieces and leaving a few of them whole.  This made it very easy to just start layering behind my photo!  I also applied some ink and mist to my white background using the packaging technique.  I love how this all came together and it is one of my favorites!  The photo was from a few weeks ago when I attended the CHA Paper Arts + show in Schaumburg IL.  I met up with one of my friends and enjoyed this fabulous drink served in a pineapple!  I knew this photo would be perfect with this kit!  Here is a look at my completed layout!

Now I hope you all agree with me on how fabulous that drink looks!  The presentation of it was fabulous!  I hope you enjoyed my layout today and I hope to be posting to my blog more often!  School will be starting soon so I will have some free time during the nap time hours of my youngest to get some crafting done!  I hope you all enjoy your day!

I was able to meet Amy Tangerine at the winter CHA show and of coarse I had to get a photo with her and Jack!  Today I am sharing the layout I created using the May kit and this very special photo!

I decided on a 8.5x11 layout since I was using only one Instax photo.  I am really loving this size of layouts!  I kept it very simple and clean and I do love how it turned out!  This one will be hung up in my craft space for sure!  Amy is one of my all time favorite designers and I fall in love with everything she comes out with!  Meeting her this year was a highlight for me for sure!

Clique Kits Spring Card Kit

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to be bringing you a layout using the Clique Kits Spring Card kit!  I love this kit and it is just not for card making!  

This kit features the On Trend collection from My Minds Eye designed by the very talented Jen Allyson.  I love that the 6x6 paper pad comes with gold foil papers!  The color combination in this kit is just perfect and mix in a beautiful Altenew stamp set and you are set to create!  This past January I had the privilege of attending CHA 2015.  This was an amazing experience and I tried to get as many photos as possible to document the weekend!  While in the beautiful My Minds Eye booth I had one of my Clique girls snap a photo of me in the booth!  I knew once we had this kit all planned out that this photo would be scrapped using this kit!  I printed my journaling on one of the cardstocks in the kit and kept the layout pretty simple.

Today I have 2 layouts to share with you using the April  Kit and I hope you love them just as much as I do!  Since this month is all about celebration I scrapped a photo from our youngest sons first birthday!

My second layout is  also of our youngest son Eli James and it is a photo of him sleeping.  I love snapping photos of my kids when they are sleeping.

Clique Kits-Layout Share

Hey Everyone!  I have been super busy over the last few months but feel super blessed to be doing something I love and with some amazing ladies!  Clique Kits has really taken off and we could not be happier!  We will be celebrating our one year anniversary in April and it has been such an exciting year!  If you have not yet been to the Clique Kits site I would love for you to take a moment and have a look around!  Today I wanted to share a layout I created with our February kit.  My scrap time has been reduced a little but I do try to make time to be creative!  Our February kit featured the Serendipity collection from Dear Lizzy and was jam packed with goodness!  I used one of the exclusive cut files for my background and backed the cut hearts with pattern paper from the kit.

Most of the embellishments came from the kit but I did pull some out from my stash like the Pinkfresh Studio pink dots and some wood veneers.  The photo is from my daughters 1st birthday party.  She was totally digging into her cake and having the best time!  She did eat the whole thing and then passed out in her chair!  I had so much fun creating this layout and the cut out hearts were a lot of fun to back with the pattern paper!  I hope you enjoyed my layout today!  Clique Kits has some amazing kits planned for the rest of the year!  You will want to get on the our wait list so you can enjoy a monthly kit delivered to your door!  It is like Christmas every month!  Each kit is carefully planned and packed with so many products including unique indie/homemade items and Clique Kits Exclusives!  We also have a private Facebook group for subscribers but if you are looking for a new kit club or community you can shoot me an email at erica@cliquekits.com and I can get you added to the group!

Clique Kits March Blog Share

Welcome to the Clique Kits March Blog Share!  If you have arrived from the Clique Kits blog then you are in the right spot!  This month we are sharing projects created with the March 2015 Clique Kit J'adodre.

This months kit features the beautiful Love Notes collection by We R Memory Keepers designed by Amanda Rose Zampelli.  Amanda was one of our March Designers in the Spotlight and you can read her full Q&A HERE.  

This months challenge was to add a pop of neon to our projects which was pretty simple with the We R Memory Keepers Clearly Bold additions to the kit!  I created two layouts to share today using this months kit.  For my first layout I also pulled out the Kesi Art Geometric Heart Die that is available in the Clique Kits Shop and cut out  a bunch of hearts from the beautiful paper in this kit!  This die cuts so nice and is one of my new favorite dies!

I added a few embellishments to some of the hearts  and added some black ink drops around the page and that was it.  I love how it turned out and I love the look of the die cut hearts!  My next layout is documenting my best friend and I.  The photo was taken about 4 years ago on my birthday and we were out celebrating!  We have always been party girls so I wanted to document this wild night we had!  The Clique Kits exclusive flair was the perfect wild touch to the layout and the bold patterns match our style perfectly!

Clique Kits February Blog Share and Giveaway

I had a great time creating with this kit and today I have two layouts to share with you today using the February kit.



This first layout is documenting my daughters school photo.  I do not normally document these school photos but her outfit matched perfectly with this kit!  Plus I always end up with a ton of the wallet sized photos so I might as well put them in her scrapbook!  I love the simple and clean look of this layout.

My second layout is a 8.5x11 layout and this size layout has become my favorite!  The photo is an instax of Michael and I at the bowling alley.  He is my best friend and I would be lost without him!  I used one of the exclusive Clique Kits cut files to fill the top of my layout and added a few embellishments around the hearts.  I kept the embellishing and layers to a minimum and I just love how it turned out!
