This month the color theme for our hop is blue so I was inspired to create a layout using a photo of two of my boys. This is my favorite photograph of my oldest son Drake and my second to youngest Gavin. At the time of the photo Gavin was the youngest. I started with a plain white background, adding some gesso to the page. I did not add an even coat but just did a messy layer of it. Once it was dry I added a samll amout of color spray in a teal color and let it drip down the page. I then used one of my stencils from my stash and applied some Golden Regular gel that came in the April 2014 Nesting Components Kit. Once the gel was dry I added my layers of pattern paper, photograph and embellishments. I love using the Paper Wings Productions stamps on my layout and the Remember Clear Stamp is such a pretty font I just had to use it on this layout.
I created three white tags and used three different background stamps to create some fun layers to add to my layout. I used the Circles Pattern Stamp, and two different stamps from the Art Textures Stamp Set.
I also used one of the banners from the May 2014 Nesting Components Kit to create an embellishment on my layout and layered a chipboard sticker number 2 on the banner piece and tied with some white bakers twine.
Okay, it's time to send you off to your next stop so head on over to Katie's Blog and enjoy the hop!
